Modern Warfare 2 Glitches: Elevator Glitch

Modern Warfare 2, the latest installment in the Call of Duty series, has further tightened its grip on the gaming community with breathtaking maps and slew of new weaponry. But now that your Modern Warfare 2 addiction has taken over and you've lost days of your life in game time, you might notice some frustration surfacing as well. As with most multiplayer games, much of the frustration is due to lazy gamers, those poor excuses for players who find and abuse glitches. A number of these glitches have already reared their ugly heads in Modern Warfare 2, and I've become as frustrated as thousands of other gamers with how these Modern Warfare 2 glitches are being exploited. Take, for example, the Modern Warfare 2 elevator glitch.

Just this past weekend, I was dominated not by prowess but by an exploit. While enjoying a solid performance on Derail, I died with no sign of an enemy player, which was odd. I will typically see the imminent face of death and either spout profanities or congratulate the opposing player on a quality kill. In this weekend's case, I spewed a string of words that would make even a sailor blush.

Since I didn't see who had killed me, I waited for the Kill Cam so I could learn from the death. I was extremely displeased to find the perpetrator walking around on a clear dome that looked as though it was a mile above the map. With a 50-cal sniper rifle and scope, that distance shortened greatly and consequently led to my death. The glitch gamer was able to sit and pick off other law-abiding players from a distance that left him untouchable. Being inside buildings was the only safe haven, but that made playing the game dull. So, he ended up ruling the match, leading everyone who was on the other team to fall well short of a one-to-one kill/death ratio and having their backsides kicked in total points.

In an attempt to sour the apples of these glitch gamers, I'm using this article to pass on information about where to find some of the Modern Warfare 2 glitches, beginning with Elevators. The Elevator glitch can be found in at least seven of the Modern Warfare 2 maps and happens to be one of the more irritating glitches, because playing against gamers exploiting it is about as entertaining as playing with someone who ends a Domination Match at 100 using a tactical nuke.
