San Francisco, California – San Francisco, California – Today, Tap Saloon Inc., a social mobile game publisher launched its first game, Skinz Golf(TM) for the Apple iPhone, Skinz Golf is the first asynchronous player vs. player 3-D golf game designed specifically for a mobile device.
Skinz Golf is free to play, but offers users virtual goods from the pro shop to assist them with their shot making and scoring outcomes against their competition. Players can purchase mulligans (do-overs) when they hit a poor shot, or specialty balls and clubs which enable better ball flight, accuracy, and distance with each shot.
Players can challenge their Facebook friends or email contacts to a round of golf. They can invite up to three other competitors to participate in their round and play 20 rounds with others — all at the same time. During game play, players accrue Skinz(TM) to stay atop of the leader board and buy items from the pro shop.
Unlike other golf games in the market today, Skinz Golf uses patent pending swing motion technology to enable players to direct their shot making in a realistic manner. Skinz Golf features an intelligent game engine, rich 3-D graphics, and sound effects that create a socially engaging experience for both the casual gamer and the serious golf fan.
With a simple swipe of the finger, players can pull back their club to determine their level of ball trajectory and aim their shot based upon the course’s GPS coordinates. Players have the added challenge of factors such as wind speed, sand traps, and water hazards which all affect game play, shot making, and scoring outcomes.
