Cologne, Germany – The app Bridge Constructor Playground quite literally challenges the player to build bridges. He has to prove his skill as architect, structural engineer and construction worker. The goal – in 32 new levels – is to build bridges in towns, across canyons, at the beach, in the mountains or on hilly landscapes.
The latest, graphically completely improved version of the highly successful game brand Bridge Constructor by Headup Games (German Game Developer Award for Best Publisher 2012) facilitates getting started in the bridge building business. It also features an extensive tutorial that explains in detail how the building materials may be applied, to construct the bridge required in a level. Four different construction materials are available, including wood, steel, steel cable and concrete piers.
There is not just one true solution to solve a level. The player has the option to create and implement his very own bridge. It is important to use the specified material as best as possible in each of the stunningly beautiful nature settings of the virtual levels. In the new game the player does not have to adhere to a budget, building materials are not restricted, nor does it feature a predetermined time limit. Along those lines Bridge Construct Playground is the perfect bridge building app to get started in the simulation business.
Is the bridge going to hold up? Let’s test it with a truck!
Whether the completed bridge is going to withstand everyday stress remains to be seen. In two stress tests cars and trucks are sent across the bridge. A colored load test of the building materials indicates if, perhaps, certain sections of the bridge could use an additional steel beam. In each level the player is able to win five badges. It might be all about getting an award because the bridge is able to bear a certain load. The new badge system is a redevelopment in the game of Bridge Constructor Playground. In each level the app stores the high score. The game also features a GameCenter connection, including Leaderboards and Achievements.
Screenshots and the bridge score may be posted on Facebook right from within the app.
