Capcom today shipped Devil May Cry 4 for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. That’s right, all you Devil May Cry fans…Devil May Cry 4 is finally here.
Devil May Cry 4 takes place in a gothic supernatural world where a new protagonist, Nero, clashes with Dante, the main character from previous DMC games. As Nero, players will unleash powerful attacks and combos using his unique “Devil Bringer” arm. Fans of Dante shouldn’t lose hope, though; Dante will also be playable during the course of the game.
In addition to the new character Nero, Devil May Cry 4 features a new active-style change system for Dante that allows him to switch styles and weapons on the fly, producing crazy combo possibilities. There’s also a new “Exceed System” that allows Nero to easily charge his sword with a throttle effect, revving up to three levels with powerful and varied attack options.
A special two-hour Devil May Cry: The Animated Series anime disc will be packed into the Collector’s Edition ($79.99) of the game, which comes in a metal Steelbook case. The Devil May Cry 4 Collector’s Edition will also include the first four episodes of the 12-episode anime series, as well as a second bonus DVD that contains a “making of” feature, music from the Devil May Cry 4 soundtrack, a digital art book with images and sketches from the development team, wallpapers, icons and screen savers.
