The long wait is over, Fractal fans: a Fractal Android version is finally available on Google devices through the Play Store. Fractal, an arcade puzzling game first released in 2010, has previously only been available for iOS devices. Needless to say, hitting Android three years later is a bit of a delay, but for Android fans it’s worth the wait.
In Fractal, players push multicolored hexagonal gems around a board, creating groups of seven (called Blooms) to explode and clear them. The game’s been called “Slick, explosive and wickedly addictive,” and now it’s Android owners’ turn to get addicted, with Fractal finally hitting Android devices.
All told, the Fractal Android version has three game modes, much like its iOS counterpart. Campaign Mode takes you through the world of discovery. Each level offers new possibilities of play, while continually expanding on challenges. This is NOT a “more of the same game” scenario; we spent a lot of time crafting a lush campaign that expands, bends, twists, and creates new elements of gameplay that will completely alter the way you view the game.
Fractal’s Puzzle Mode exposes the underlying mechanics of the game, then pushes them to the limit. Test your mettle against 50+ intense scenarios that will hone your skills enough to see you through Campaign mode, right before they set your brain on fire.
In its Arcade Mode, the pushes are unlimited, time is tight, and you’ll need to step lively if you want to see the other side of a minute.
Again, all three of these modes are included in the Fractal Android version, much as you’d expect from the iOS port. So go grab it already.
