So there you are, sitting alone on a Friday night looking to blow off some steam by blowing stuff up. Wargaming has some good news for you if you happen to own an Xbox 360. The World of Tanks Xbox 360 beta is now open globally as the game enters its final phase of beta testing prior to release.
The beta kickoff starts today (Friday, Dec. 13) and runs through Sunday (Dec. 15). The World of Tanks Xbox 360 global beta is available to all gamers with Xbox Live accounts. Those without a Gold account will be able to get in on the action for a 7-day trial period. As an added bonus, non-Gold account holders who may have already expended their seven-day trial period can take advantage of the trial resetting, giving then an additional seven days of playing time.
In addition, the World of Tanks Xbox 360 beta has been updated to include a brand new United Kingdom tank line with icons like the Churchill, the Black Prince and the Matilda.
Further rewards will also be available to new and returning players for a limited time during the beta. All players who log in and play at least 10 matches on Saturday, December 14th from 3–6 p. m. (Pacific Standard Time) will receive 7 days of free Premium Account status (which provides a higher accrual rate of credits and experience earned during play) once the game officially goes live. More details regarding redemption of the Premium Account status will be provided at a later date. Players will also be able to take advantage of the “Invite a Friend” functionality via the game’s Platoons feature.
World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition is a team-based massively multiplayer online game dedicated to armored warfare in the mid-20th century. The game marks the very first console title ever developed by Wargaming, following the massive success of its free-to-play PC MMO action game World of Tanks, which has more than 75 million registered players around the world.
