TrackMania United Forever, the sequel to the popular online racing game TrackMania United, has shipped to retail today.
Like the original, TrackMania United Forever lets players test their racing, acrobatic stunt and jump skills on a variety of tracks, but this version also includes more modes and more special features.
The core of the game is still Race Mode, which lets players race individually, against the computer or against the literally millions of gamers who play TrackMania worldwide. The Stunt Mode, meanwhile, sees players going on steep downhill tracks, on the car version of a skate park or on a rally track full of jumps in an attempt to get the most points in a set amount of time. Stunts include aerial 720’s or 900’s, back flips, chain flips and master flips.
Two additional modes are included in TrackMania United Forever. The first of these final two, Platform Mode, includes the toughest tracks in the game and requires precise jumping and cornering The other, Puzzle Mode, has players build tracks with predetermined starting places, finishing places and checkpoints, then race those tracks for the get the best time possible.
