A new Naruto fighting game is headed for the Nintendo Wii this fall, as Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 was announced as the first Naruto Wii title designed specifically for North America.
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 will include a comprehensive list of playable characters from the Naruto universe as well as an updated fighting engine. The game will also include an original storyline that expands upon episodes from the animated TV series.
Set after Sasuke leaves the Leaf Village to gain more power from Orochimaru, the game will offer multiple playable characters, including several developed especially for the game’s storyline. Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 will feature four-player multiplayer battles along with gameplay modes and characters not yet seen on the Clash of Ninja series.
“Because Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 is an original title for the U.S., we have had the opportunity to blend new features with the best elements from the previous games,” said Laura Yoshioka, director of consumer software at TOMY Corporation. “In addition to the new storyline, we have worked closely with the development studio, Eighting, to implement fan feedback. We actively pursued advice from tournament players to update the fighting mechanics and create balanced characters to improve the gameplay experience.”
