The Six Flags theme parks are a great family diversion, but this fall, the theme-park company hopes you’ll want to have digital thrills as much as real-world fun, as it has chosen Brash Entertainment to create Six Flags Fun Park, a game for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2 and DS.
Upon entering the game’s virtual gates, players will encounter various quests that encourage them to explore the park’s universe, but only after they create a custom character. Six Flags Fun Park patrons will then be able to test their skills, win prizes and play against friends and family with 40 mini-games.
“Everyone has memories of visiting theme parks with their families and having a great time with games like the Ring Toss and Bumper Cars,” said Mitch Davis, Brash Entertainment CEO. “With Six Flags Fun Park, we are re-imagining these time-honored tests of luck and skill and launching the first virtual park in the Six Flags family.”
Six Flags Fun Park hasn’t yet been rated, but it’s a pretty safe bet it’ll ship this fall with an “‘E’ for Everyone” rating. The first screenshots are included below.
