Ubisoft today announced it’s adding another TV-based video game to its portfolio, CSI: NY. For the first time in the CSI video game series, CSI: NY will let gamers play as actual characters from the hit TV show. The CSI: NY game will ship for PC only this holiday season.
The CSI: NY video game will feature five new original cases crafted by writers from the CSI: NY television series. It will also include all the stars from the TV show, much like Ubisoft’s LOST video game. However, rather than portray the CSI universe realistically, it will have a graphic-novel art style.
As players piece together clues and try to solve each case, they’ll be presented with diverse gameplay that includes new mechanics for conversations, computer use and blood work. Players will also be able to control interrogations and use evidence to reveal a suspect’s lies.
In addition to this core gameplay, CSI: NY will also include a variety of mini-games, such as code breaking, facial reconstruction, triangulating shooter locations, physics simulation, reconstructions and Internet searching.
Not sure how “Internet searching” is a mini-game, but whatever….
