While Xbox One owners have had a full day in the Evolve Alpha, their timed exclusive is going to go a little while longer. 2K today said the Evolve Alpha postponed on PS4 due to Sony’s ongoing PSN Network issues.
A statement from 2K said “following the recent PS4 2.00 firmware update, we are experiencing difficulties with the Evolve Big Alpha on PlayStation 4. As a result, the test on PlayStation 4 is postponed.”
All hope is not lost, as 2K said that the studio and the Sony PlayStation team “are working together on a resolution.” However, there’s no telling when, or if, that resolution will be found.
Evolveās closed alpha test is still playable on Xbox One and PC.
PS4 players who also own an Xbox One or PC can register for Big Alpha on one of those platforms right now using the codes below, and will receive an invite today to start playing.

DailyGame will be live-streaming the Evolve alpha later tonight, just in time for Halloween and as a way to spend some time while the candy sugar rush works itself out of our system. We’ll be playing the Evolve alpha on Xbox One, but PS4 owners will still be able to get a taste of what the 4v1 game has to offer.
That doesn’t ease the pain of the Evolve Alpha postponed on PS4 due to PSN Network issues, but at least PS4 owners aren’t completely left in the dark. Surely 2K will find a way to make it up to PS4 owners; the company has a lot riding on the success of the game in 2015.
