Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is currently in development for the PS3, Naughty Dog announced today, with an ad scheduled to hit the air tonight (Dec. 2) during UFC Unleashed (on Spike). The official trailer will debut on Dec. 14 during the 2008 Video Game Awards show at 9:00pm.
Although information is scant, we do know a few things about Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, including its name, the fact that it once again features hero Nathan Drake, and some minor plot and gameplay details.
According to Game Informer, which is featuring Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on its January 2009 cover, the game will feature Nathan Drake going on an adventure that covers the voyages of the 13th-Century explorer Marco Polo. The gameplay will include a new free climbing mechanic as well as stealth gameplay as players work their way through new locations.
