Two novels based on The Elder Scrolls series will be published this fall, Bethesda announced today. The books, published by Del Rey Books, are being written by The New York Times bestselling author Greg Keyes.
Keyes previously wrote the best-selling Star Wars novels in the New Jedi Order series, among other books.
The first novel, called The Infernal City, will be published this Fall. The Infernal City is set after the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and finds the citizens of Tamriel once again facing an uncertain future. Floating high above the land is a strange and mysterious city that is casting a horrifying shadow. Wherever it falls, people die and rise again as undead.
Can we say “upcoming expansion,” anyone?
In the book, it will be up to an unlikely duo — a 17-year-old girl named Annaig and the Emperor’s young son, Prince Attrebus — to rescue the kingdom.
The second novel has not yet been given a title or release date.
