With a singular goal of creating the worst videogame of all time, the Hungarian hack developers are following up the release of Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder on both the PS3 and PSP systems with a version created specifically for the Apple iPhone and iPad, which has launched today. Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder is a truly terrible tower defense genre based game filled with hokey, amateurish graphics and off-key, ear wrenching music that is well on its way to fulfilling iFun4All’s goal!
“This is a truly exciting day for us, now that all the millions of people with Apple mobile devices can download Paper Wars to see that we’re not messing around in our quest of creating the worst game ever,” said Fülöp Mészáros, a developer with iFun4All and one of the most world–renown Hungarian designers (out of two). “Some people might see some common aspects between Paper Wars and our previous iOS game, Crap of Defense, but after all the glowing, positive reviews that Crap of Defense received, we went back to our broken down, dirty drawing board to figure out what we did wrong.”
iFun4All had hoped that Crap of Defense, launched nearly a year ago, would garner awful reviews – they were understandably devastated when it received extremely positive reviews including several perfect scores. The development team, under the haze of several bottles of grain alcohol, began to think there was a conspiracy against them by various media outlets to rate their crappy games highly. This suspicion was confirmed when Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder, the spiritual successor to Crap of Defense, was released on the PlayStation®Mini platform, and again, received near-unanimous critical acclaim. Mészáros and iFun4All are anxiously awaiting the reviews for the iOS version of Paper Wars – if this version is well-received, they might just retire to full-time drinking and goatherding.
Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder features tons of upgrades and additions from Crap of Defense, including:
- Completely New Campaign: Cyber Wars – even more terrible and bad looking than previous ones
- More levels in each campaign: currently 28, totaling in 84!
- OpenFeint integration, so you can be shamed publicly for playing this game
- 52 achievements to collect
- Statistics of your total game life, showing how much time you spend with this horrible game and how sad and pitiful your life is
