A new demo for Halo: Reach launches today on Xbox Live to help promote the “Games on Demand” version of Halo: Reach being available for a reduced price now through May 30. The one-week-only price for Halo: Reach is $39.99 USD and £39.99/€39.99 (EMEA).
The new Halo: Reach demo drops players right into the action with the “Long Night of Solace” campaign mission, plunging players into an epic-scale battle as they fight across a besieged beachhead and blast off into space to engage the Covenant armada head-on above the planet Reach. The demo also includes a taste of the Halo: Reach multiplayer experience, as it includes both the “Free for All Slayer” and “Headhunter” modes on the Powerhouse map. Demo players can also assault the Covenant together on the Firefight map “Overlook” over Xbox Live.
Now, is it just me, or does the sudden Games on Demand discount for Halo: Reach, plus the new demo, seem peculiarly timed in light of E3 coming up in two weeks? Something to ponder….
