Two new Cooking Mama games are headed to Nintendo’s two handheld platforms this fall, as Majesco announced that Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic is headed for the Nintendo 3DS and Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures will ship for the Nintendo DS later this year.
The original digital chef will make her debut on Nintendo 3DS with Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic, complete with new recipes and new ways to play, including fresh kitchen activities and dish combinations. Players will slice, dice, knead, toss and flip their way through more than 200 Touch Screen mini-games as they cook in brand new ways with the Nintendo 3DS gyroscope: crack eggs, flip pans, balance plates and other such actions. Players will earn bronze, silver and gold medals while mixing more than 60 recipes ranging from side dishes to full meals, and they’ll be able to organize, decorate and clean their kitchen while watching surprising 3D events unfold as they prepare each meal.
Meanwhile, the Cooking Mama will work on her wilderness skills in Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures, which features 100 different stylus-based games. Among the challenges: craft a fishing pole, use it to fish then cook your catch; capture wild chickens for a tasty egg breakfast; set up your tent; and collect exotic insects. Some of the outdoor activities included in the game will be rock climbing, spelunking, rowing and tree climbing, all spread across 38 different levels that span forests, mountains and seas. Would-be campers can play as either the son or daughter, with Mama or Papa providing guidance depending on the challenge.
