Electronic Arts and Steven Spielberg today spilled the beans on two of the three videogames on which they’re collaborating.
The first game is an exclusive for the Nintendo Wii and sounds like a compilation of mini/party games. The game’s 100-plus games will “take blocks to a new level of creativity and fun” for single players, cooperative players and versus game modes. In the game, the Wii remote will let players build their own games and structures — and then use the Wii remote to bring them crashing down.
The second game will be an action-adventure game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. In the game, players’ actions will shape the outcome of what EA hopes will be “an epic story.” The game will focus on an ever-changing relationship between the player and a mysterious female character who holds the key to many futures.
Vague? Yes, on both counts. But at least we now know it’s not the next-gen version of E.T.
