As we reported last week, Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is in the throes of development over at Rockstar HQ, and today, we’ve got the GTA V announcement trailer for your viewing pleasure.
Based on the trailer, GTA V clearly takes place in Los Angeles, as the trailer shows the downtown LA skyline and the Hollywood sign (called “Vineland” in the video). Will the game be limited to LA, though, or will it take place in suburbs as well? That remains to be seen, as the video shows highway signs for Interstate 5 (which runs to San Diego) and signs for “Little Seoul” and the Los Puerta freeway.
Cop chases appear to be in full force in GTA V, and in a funny nod to GTA IV, the video shows a homeless man who bears a striking resemblance to Niko.
