The newest incarnation of the Guilty Gear fighting-game franchise has shipped for the PlayStation 2 today. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, the name of the newest game, has more than 20 combatants and five different gameplay modes.
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core has been completely re-worked this time around, with a re-tuned fighting system, new stages, new characters, new graphics, new voices and the ability to create matches between old and new characters in the Generations Mode.
The game’s 20-plus characters include all of the standard characters, complete with new moves and an alternate EX version of each, as well as two reinvented fighters, A.B.A and Order-Sol, neither of which has ever been seen outside of Japan.
In terms of those five gameplay modes, they are Arcade, Medal of Millionaire, Versus, Survival and Training.
