Berlin, Germany – aBit Games is pleased to announce Money Witches for iPhone/iPad today, an upcoming coin themed drag-n-drop block falling puzzle game. The game not only serves the purpose of reminiscing upon good memories of arcade combat puzzle games such as Tetris, Columns, Puzzle Bobble, Puyo Puyo, but also brings unique gameplay that players never experienced before. The spirit is still the same: in order to win a match against other player or get higher score, one has to outsmart his opponent, not just being lucky.
aBit Games wants to bring back the spirit and hype of the arcade puzzle genre. They believe there’re a lot gamers craving for a puzzle game with fully controllable combos, a score system always correctly reflecting the player’s skill, and highly competitive player vs player match mode. Money Witches is entrusted with all these missions and more. The developer cleared all obstacles of the joystick and cursor based control from the arcade genre, and power it up with multi-touch control and dynamic coin movements that is intuitive even to users who never played video games before.
Money Witches tells a story of a young witch named Molika, who has the magical power to make money out of exchanging coins. She wants to get stronger power so she can use it to become the richest woman in the world. Player can cast the magic by drag and drop to stack coins with the same color and create a more valuable coin. For example five “1 Cent” coins together make a “5 Cent”; two “5 Cent” coins together make a “10 Cent” and it goes on like this. The gameplay twist is how you can chain exchanges together by layout coins with different values one layer after another, so the newly created coin will join the coins underneath and trigger another magic exchange, eventually making a combo with big score bonus.
Molika is not the only “money witch” in the world, player can choose from several other characters. And each one has a unique ability that requires a completely different play style and strategy. Player can also buy powerful items with the gold collected in each game. It’s recommended to choose character ability and item build according to one’s play style, so that he can deal with every tough situation and create huge combos of an opportunity.

aBit Games is an indie game development team founded on July, 2010. The three guys from China decided to work together as a remote team to make the game they really enjoy playing during spare time. All of the team members also work full time in the game industry for companies like Ubisoft and Yager Development. Since two members of the team live in China while the other one lives in Germany, they also need to deal with time difference and Chinese GFW on a daily basis. The team managed to overcome all the troubles and released their first game on iOS: Super Sheep Tap. It’s a pretty innovative action rhythm game that sets the base of the style of their games: Cute theme, easy to pick up by everyone, but extremely challenging when player wants to get better score. Super Sheep Tap is awarded with “Excellence in Audio” in 2011 Independent Games Festival China for its innovative rhythm gameplay and nice sound design. Copyright (C) 2012 aBit Games.
