Mech fans, take note: the latest Armored Core game from FromSoftware is now available for Xbox 360 and PS3. Called Armored Core: Verdict Day, the game features new customization options for players to tweak their ‘mech as they try to survival battles between competing factions scavenging and fighting across the world with deadly Armored Core units.
In Armored Core: Verdict Day, players command a squadron of advanced Armored Core units in a dystopian future ravaged by war and stripped of natural resources. Players will form squads of up to 20 members and enlist into one of the various in-game factions to wrestle control of territories away from other players in the game’s persistent multiplayer mode.
New gameplay features in Armored Core: Verdict Day ensure that players who choose to play alone can recruit a squad of AI-controlled Armored Core units to play co-op and multiplayer modes. A new matchmaking system also lets players find battles at a moment’s notice. Or as fast as their broadband connection will allow.
Operator Mode returns to Armored Core: Verdict Day with new upgrades, allowing players to tactically command a full squad of Armored Core units from a tactical top-down point-of-view. Operators will be able to set rally points, mark targets and receive real-time in-cockpit views from other players and computer-controlled squad mates to achieve real-time strategic command of the battlefield.
Armored Core: Verdict Day allows fans of Armored Core 5 to carry over their save data and customized Armored Core into the new title. Players can then further customize their Armored Core units with hundreds of parts ranging from guns and armor pieces to shields and boosters. The new customization options will help players synchronize their Armored Core unit loadouts with teammates to deliver maximum destruction on the battlefield.
