If you’re headed to San Diego Comic-Con and are an Assassin’s Creed fan, you’ll want to make sure you stop by the Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag pirate ship, which will be docked at Comic-Con. The Jackdaw will be open on July 19-20 from 10am to 7pm at 5th Avenue Landing, behind the convention center.
For the first time, Assassin’s Creed fans and aspiring pirates will immerse themselves in the world of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag aboard the real-life Jackdaw ship, featuring three expansive levels to explore, as well as stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
While aboard the ship, fans can view the new single-player Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag demo and play the multiplayer mode, including customized game modes created through the new Game Lab feature. Fans can also see a weapon demonstration from a true expert and noted pirate weapon historian Mike Loades, and receive exclusive inflatable cutlass swords, Assassin’s Creed art booklets from Titan and other prizes.
Comic-Con attendees will also have the chance to meet Todd McFarlane, who will sign an exclusive limited-edition Assassin’s Creed poster giveaway, and they’ll get a first look at the new McFarlane Toys Assassin’s Creed figure line and resin statue. McFarlane will be signing autographs on Friday, July 19 from 4pm to 7pm and on Saturday, July 20 from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
When it’s time to leave the sea, continue the adventure on land at a free Video Games Live concert at the San Diego Civic Theater on Saturday, July 20. The Assassin’s Creed concert will be open to all, no Comic-Con badge required.
At the concert, Schick-sponsored professional barbers will also be on hand to give free shaves on the Jackdaw using the Schick Hydro 5 razor. They’ll also have giveaways and prizes, presumably razors and shaving gel of some sort.
The Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag panel on Friday, July 19 from 2-3pm in room 6BCF will have some festivities too. If you’re going to Comic-Con during that time, you’ll be able to see a live Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag demo and hear about what’s coming to the Assassin’s Creed comic book series and the next wave of Assassin’s Creed figures from McFarlane Toys. You’ll get to meet Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag writer Darby McDevitt, comic book writer Brenden Fletcher and legendary comic book artist and McFarlane Toys Founder, Todd McFarlane.
