Xbox 360 owners are seeing a “first” today with the launch of Assault Heroes 2, the first sequel to a title that originated on Xbox Live Arcade. A shooter, Assault Heroes 2 will set you back 800 Microsoft Points.
Assault Heroes 2 includes a few upgrades from the first Assault Heroes, including new enemies, new environments (such as outer space) and the ability to hijack enemy vehicles. Assault Heroes 2 also lets players spend more time on foot, and its cooperative gameplay modes have seen a boost as well.
The game’s plot reads like classic superhero or Voltron lore: Sinister forces have once again started to threaten mankind, and only the Assault Heroes can save the day. This time, though, they’ll have the use of a new rapid-fire spacecraft and upgraded weapons as players take out waves of enemies and mechanical bosses.
