Beyond Good & Evil HD is coming to the PlayStation 3 sooner than most gamers thought, as Ubisoft unveiled that the high-definition version of the 2003 classic will hit the PlayStation Network in May. Much like the Xbox 360 version of Beyond Good & Evil HD, the PS3 counterpart will let players relive the adventures of Jade as she uncovers a planet-wide alien conspiracy — only this time in 1080p.
Beyond Good & Evil originally released for the Xbox and PS2, which did not support full-HD output.
Along with the visuals, Ubisoft has updated the audio track to support the latest surround-sound and lossless-audio technology.
PS3 owners who purchase Beyond Good & Evil HD within its first two weeks of release on PSN will also receive two free avatars, Jade or Pey’j.
