Microsoft’s third-party heavyweight from 2007, BioShock, is coming to the PlayStation 3 after all.
Rumors swirled before BioShock released on Xbox 360 and PC that the “exclusive” was just a timed exclusive, but those were quickly shot down. According to various industry sources, however, Microsoft has lost that exclusivity — or given it up — as 2K Games’ BioShock is scheduled to ship for the PlayStation 3 this holiday season.
So far, the only additions or upgrades confirmed for the PS3 version of BioShock are of the graphical nature, but with the new plasmids and other downloadable content on Xbox Live Marketplace, that new content could also make the move to PS3.
Either way, we’re certainly glad to see BioShock coming to the PS3, as it will give more people the chance to experience DailyGame’s choice for Game of the Year.
