Seventeen years ago, Bungie created a game where players were fighting off a vicious alien attack, exploring an alien world to uncover the enemy’s secrets, and ultimately charged with saving humanity. Sounds an awful lot like Halo, doesn’t it? Well, in fact it was Bungie’s first uber-popular game, Marathon. And this week, Marathon: Durandal will hit Xbox Live Arcade.
Marathon: Durandal will appear on Microsoft’s online service this Wednesday for 800 Microsoft Points.
Spyglass Board Games will also appear this Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade. The game, which will cost 400 Microsoft Points, is a compilation of four board games (chess, checkers, mancala and reversi). Like Texas Hold ‘Em Poker, it features Xbox Live Vision camera support.
