Activision has done some nice things with the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise. Some people have wondered where the franchise can possibly go next now that they’ve added superhuman-like abilities to the mix. For those of us enjoying the game, though, the biggest question is where the DLC will take us. Luckily for us, Activision has released a new Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC early weapon access trailer to give us a peek.
The COD Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC is available now for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Unfortunately for PS4 and PS3 owners, there’s still a wait for them before they can get their hands on it. Though truth be told that’s how Activision and Microsoft have operated on the COD franchise for the past three entries.
Two weapons are included in the Havoc DLC. That doesn’t sound like a lot, and in fact it’s not, but the weapons themselves sound pretty sweet.
First up is the AE4, a “directed energy assault rifle,” followed by a minor variant called the AE4 Widowmaker. You can see both weapons in the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC early weapon access trailer below.
Both the AE4 and AE4 Widowmaker combine a versatile firing mechanism with speed and handling. They’re also right in line with the near-future vibe of Advanced Warfare.
As you can tell from the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC early weapon access trailer above, the newest COD game has plenty of tricks still up its sleeve. Xbox-owning fans of the game have a lot to look forward to this weekend, so long as they have the Season Pass.
Activision has not indicated when the Havoc DLC will be available for PS4 or PS3. If it follows previous DLC release patterns, these two guns will be available in about six weeks’ time.
