The Call of Duty Ghosts Devastation DLC is just two days away for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, so we thought you might like to see what’s in store. PlayStation 3 and PS4 owners, you’ll have to wait a bit longer, as the Call of Duty Ghosts Devastation DLC is exclusive to Xbox platforms for the next six to eight weeks.
Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty Ghosts Devastation DLC is essentially the same on all systems. The gameplay trailer below is therefore relevant for everyone, though it foreshadows content that’s a bit more in the future for some systems than others.
Activision’s Call of Duty Ghosts Devastation DLC pack includes four new small to medium-sized multiplayer maps: Ruins, Behemoth, Collision and Unearthed. The latter of those maps, Unearthed, is a re-imagined version of Dome, the fan-favorite map from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
The Call of Duty Ghosts Devastation DLC also includes the “Ripper,” a new tactical two-in-one weapon that can switch from SMG to AR and back on the fly and in the middle of combat. Yes, that’s rad.
The new Ghosts DLC also includes the next chapter in the game’s Extinction saga. Called Episode 2: Mayday, this next chapter follows the events of Nightfall and has players boarding an abandoned research vessel in search of answers. Players will face two new alien foes — Seeders and a 100-foot-tall Kraken. Seriously. We’ve got a whole new gameplay trailer just for Episode 2: Mayday at this link.
