Austin, Texas – Treasure Bound Books today is proud to announce It’s Shark Week and to help kids celebrate, a new site, Shark App Attack, presents a list of family-friendly, shark-themed apps for little kids and big kids who are fascinated by sharks. Combining educational, book, game and utility apps, the list was compiled by review sites and developers to give parents and kids an easy way to find tons of Shark App fun.
“Most people are fascinated by sharks and the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week is now a huge annual event, so we thought it would be fun to put together a list of shark-themed apps that were great for kids,” said Digital Kid’s Author, Karen Robertson.
“Treasure Kai and the Lost Gold of Shark Island” is an award-winning storybook app that sends kids on a quest for gold, in a twist on the choose-your-adventure format. There are thousands of paths to the treasure delivering adventurous reading fun.
Did you know that a group of sharks is called a “shiver”? “A Shiver of Sharks” reveals more fun collective nouns for sea creatures while giving kids the chance to interact with them in entertaining ways.
“Sparky the Shark” is a charming story about a shark who wants to live with people but can’t understand why they are afraid of him. A highlight is the narrator’s Australian accent.
Two nonfiction book apps, “Discovery Kid’s Sharks” and “Ultimate Shark” provide facts, photos and videos about sharks for any kids wanting to learn more.
Oceanhouse Media’s “Otter on His Own” sees an otter pup follow his mom into the open sea where danger in the form of a great white shark lurks.
Have fun with game app, “Shark Dash,” which has thousands of great reviews and find more apps at Shark App Attack.
The “Shark App Attack” site includes ratings, links to reviews and notations for whether or not an app includes ads, social media links or in-app purchases, giving families a way to easily assess the right apps for them.
