THQ today announced Construction Combat: Lock’s Quest, a new game for the Nintendo DS that is being developed by the team behind Drawn to Life.
Construction Combat: Lock’s Quest will let players create a virtual world block-by-block to defend their homeland against invading enemies. By using the Nintendo DS stylus in Construction Combat: Lock’s Quest, players will be able to have the tangible feeling of building and creating structures themselves.
Elements of strategy and puzzle-solving are also incorporated to reward more sophisticated players. Those same players also appreciate the ability to battle with friends through multi-card play or Wi-Fi.
The DS game will ship this fall.
Playing as the hero Lock, who’s part architect and part engineer, players will use different materials such as stone, metal or wood to create and design defense towers in the battle field. Gamers will also be able to use quirky weapons such as quicksand traps and glue cannons to attack enemies.
