The ties that bind family are twisted to new levels when Finding Amanda, a hilarious and heartbreaking autobiographical comedy comes to DVD from Magnolia Home Entertainment. The film features a Matthew Broderick (The Producers, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) and Brittany Snow (Hairspray, Prom Night), with Broderick playing Taylor Peters, a television writer and producer whose compulsive gambling, recreational drug use and drinking problem are jeopardizing his career and relationships. In a desperate attempt to save his marriage, he sets off to redeem himself by delivering his 20-year-old niece (Snow), who is living in Las Vegas and working as a prostitute, to a rehab center in Malibu. With the best laid plans, he vows not to gamble a cent or drink a drop of alcohol.
