Electronic Arts today took the wraps off of Crysis Warhead, an all-new PC game in development by Crytek’s Budapest studio that’s scheduled to ship this fall.
The quesiton on everyone’s mind: will my PC actually be able to run it?
While we don’t necessarily have the answer to that question (EA hasn’t released system specs yet), we do know a few of the “overview” tidbits.
In Crysis Warhead, players will don the Nanosuit of Sergeant Sykes, also known as “Psycho,” one of the most memorable characters from the original Crysis. Psycho, who’s more brash and aggressive than his Delta Force squadmate Nomad, will have a storyline that parallels the events of the original game, as players will find that life on the other side of the island is even more intense and explosive than they could have imagined.
Psycho’s Nanosuit will be just as capable, and he’s equipped with an even bigger arsenal of fully customizable weapons and new vehicles. Aside from this new single-player campaign, Crysis Warhead will also feature new multiplayer content.
EA has promised more details this summer, so stay tuned for more details as they come in.
