One of the most original PS3 games on the PlayStation Network, echochrome, has gotten a massive update today that includes PS3 Trophy support, screenshots and mass uploads of user-created levels. You know, if you actually have the brain power to create a level for a brain-crunching game like this.
Inspired by the works of M.C. Escher, echochrome plays with gamers’ minds as its deceiving artwork leads to some seriously mind-bending puzzle solving. Its level editor allows players to make and trade their own stages, but until now, levels could only be uploaded 10 at a time. From this update forward, a total of 1,000 user-generated stages are available for gameplay.
To play these 1000 user-created levels, just go to “Freeform” and start playing, and the levels will come up at random as you play.
The echochrome update also includes Trophy support. Players are rewarded trophies for clearing a number of stages, or even for the total number of footsteps or falls.
And finally, the echochrome update enables the in-game screenshot function.
