Fallout 3 has sold in record numbers for a Bethesda game, the company announced today, with approximately 4.7 million units of Fallout 3 having shipped last week for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. That total represents retail sales in excess of $300 million.
Released on Oct. 28, Fallout 3 is set more than 200 years following a nuclear war. Like Oblivion, players can create any kind of character they want, but rather than a fantasy world, Fallout 3 has players exploring the open wastes of Washington, D.C.
We live-blogged our first 10 hours of Fallout 3, and we’ve been playing since that time in order to have a full review next week.
