Bethesda may be working on Elder Scrolls V and turning it into an MMO (read the news), but for the time being, the company is enjoying what turned out to be a fantastic month of sales for their other high-profile (and new) series, Fallout. According to data from the NPD Group, Fallout: New Vegas was the top-selling console and PC game across the board.
Fallout: New Vegas, the follow-up to Fallout 3, brings the franchise to a location only Fallout could do justice: Las Vegas. Fallout: New Vegas takes all the action, humor and post-apocalyptic grime and grit of this legendary series, and raises the stakes.
Downloadable content that extends the New Vegas experience is due out for Xbox 360 on December 21. Dead Money will have you working alongside three other captured wastelanders to recover the legendary treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino. Your life hangs in the balance as you face new terrain, foes, and choices. It is up to you how you play your cards in the quest to survive.
We didn’t get a chance to check out Fallout: New Vegas, but by all accounts — and sales — it’s one to consider delving into.
