LucasArts today shipped the new shooter Fracture for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Click the following link to read our Fracture review. Fracture will release in Europe on Friday (Oct. 10) and in Asia-Pacific on Oct. 15).
Fracture is based on the principle of giving players weapons that manipulate the ground they — and their enemies — walk on. Using “Terrain Deformation,” players can build cover on the fly to thwart enemy attacks, discover hidden pathways, or gain a height or tactical advantage against the enemy. Terrain-deforming also depress the land and create vortexes and other ground-related obstacles, basically giving players the ability to reshape the battlefield beneath their feet.
The ground-deforming fun extends to the online multiplayer modes as well, making for some frantic battles.
