Nintendo announced during E3 that its Wii console is now officially the world’s best-selling home gaming system of this generation. As if the company isn’t happy with that install base, Nintendo today announced a partnership with Comcast to give away one free Wii to new Comcast subscribers through August 17.
The deal will be in effect for all new Comcast Preferred Plus or Premier Triple Play package subscribers.
Comcast Preferred Plus and Premier Triple Play packages include Comcast Digital Cable with On Demand and premium channels, Comcast Digital Voice and Comcast High-Speed Internet.
To be eligible for the free Nintendo Wii, you’ll need to sign a two-year contract with Comcast.
Keep in mind: the total number of Wii systems available through the partnership is limited — and neither Comcast nor Nintendo is saying what that limit is.
