Ghostbusters: The Video Game is one of our most-anticipated games of the summer here at DailyGame, along with the Ghostbusters Blu-ray trilogy being one of our most-anticipated BD releases. But until today, we weren’t entirely sure when Ghostbusters: The Video Game would ship for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii (along with PS2, DS and PC). Now we know: June 16.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is based on the hit movie franchise and is being written by the original Ghostbusters writers and stars Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd. The game also reunites many of the original cast members, including original Ghostbusters Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson, who lend their voices and in-game likenesses to the original story.
Set two years after Ghostbusters II, with Manhattan once again overrun by ghosts and supernatural forces, the game has players joining the ghost-bustin’ team as a new recruit testing a variety of unique equipment and gadgets.
