Halo may have built its reputation as a first-person shooter videogame, but Bungie’s franchise got its real start as a strategy game. The Halo Wars RTS marks a return to the series’ strategic roots, but Halo is also going decidedly old-school this fall with an interactive strategy board game. This first-ever board game based on the Halo franchise features a modular board that can be reconfigured to create limitless battlefields and lets players command armies of 3D collectible character pieces. Fans can follow storylines that expand the Halo experience in Campaign mode, or go head-to-head in interactive battle sequences with Slayer or Capture the Flag modes.
Featuring original characters from the Halo video game, as well as new characters (including Kusunagi and The Prophet of Candor), the Halo Interactive Strategy Game pulls fan-favorite elements from Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3, including its music. Additionally, the interactive game features unseen exclusive DVD content. In other words, if you or someone you know is a big Halo fan, this board game would make a great gift. So, we’re giving away one retail copy.
