One of the most anticipated PC RPGs of the year, Hellgate: London, finally has an official release date: October 31 in North America, and November 2 in Europe.
Hellgate: London will feature dynamically generated levels, items, enemies and events, not to mention a flexible skill and spell system as players save London from hundreds of demons. In addition to the solo-only campaign mode, players can also go online with friends to play through the entire campaign — for free.
The developer is also offering an optional subscription service that will give players access to huge amounts of content on an ongoing basis in the form of quests, character classes, demons, items, etc. But really, when you can already play online for free, the subscription options, while nice, seem a bit superfluous.
