If you like to spend your holidays wrapped up on the sofa binge-watching movies, Fox Searchlight Pictures is releasing a massive compendium of movies with your name on it. On December 11, the studio will release the Fox Searchlight 20th Anniversary Collection Blu-ray (pre-order here) featuring 20 of its most-beloved films.
At $269.99, the Fox Searchlight 20th Anniversary Collection Blu-ray won’t come cheap. However, if you don’t already own any of the movies outlined below, this collection does pencil-out to be just $13.50 per movie.
Each of the 20 films in this one-of-a-kind collection was selected based on considerations of timelessness, cultural impact, awards recognition and box-office success. For instance, on the list are Best Picture Academy Award Winners Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and 12 Years a Slave (2013), plus Napoleon Dynamite and 28 Days Later.
In other words, there’s not a stinker here.
Exclusive to the collection is an all-new Blu-ray bonus disc called “We Have Your Story.” This disc contains a 98-minute documentary about the history of Fox Searchlight Pictures.
But the movies are really what matter. So here’s the list of all 20 movies included in the set.
- The Brothers McMullen
- Garden State
- The Full Monty
- Little Miss Sunshine
- Boys Don’t Cry
- The Last King of Scotland
- 28 Days Later

All of these films in the Fox Searchlight 20th Anniversary Collection Blu-ray will come packaged in a special case. It’s currently unclear whether the movies will have individual box art that reflects their original release, or whether their box art will be thematic for the Collection itself.
