We all know the occasional boredom of taking mass transit to our next destination, so how would you like to bide the time by playing a new game that the developer bills as “the saucy love child of a crossword and a word search”? Sounds pretty sweet, no? The game is called Clever Clues, and it’s now available for iOS.
Great exercise for keeping bored minds active, Clever Clues is an antidote for boredom while on the train, plane, bus, car (not while driving!), tram, boat, sidecar or covered wagon. It’s also easy to pick up during lunch. Fans of crosswords, quizzes, word searches or just proving how clever they are will be hooked on Clever Clues.
The player is presented with 5 or 6 clues and a grid of letter tiles containing all the letters needed to find the answers. The player taps on the tiles to spell out an answer. If correct, those tiles are removed from the grid. Thus each answer becomes easier. Once all tiles have been used the round is complete.
The player can tap on a clue to reveal a hint: the first letter of the answer will wiggle in the letter grid. If the player solves enough clues a hint upgrade is earned allowing the player to see the second letter then eventually the third letter.
