Warner Bros. Interactive today announced plans to bring a new Looney Tunes game to the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. The game, an action-adventure titled Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal, is scheduled to ship later this fall.
Unlike recent Looney Tunes outings, which featured “alternative” and “extreme” versions of classic characters, Acme Arsenal will feature the classic characters as we know and love them. All told, the game will include seven playable Looney Tunes characters: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, the Tazmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn, Marvin the Martian, Gossamer and an unnamed “secret” character (here’s hoping for Yosemite Sam).
Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal will include both one-player and two-player cooperative play in which gamers will take part in fast-paced combat, puzzle-solving challenges and vehicle-based action. Players will command an arsenal of Acme melee and projectile weapons in battles that take place in locales ranging from Camelot and Ancient Egypt to Mars, the Wild West and the trenches of World War II.
The Xbox 360 version will allow players to use real-time physics, and it will also support online co-op for two players via Xbox Live.
The Wii version will let players take full advantage of the gesture controls in fighting, spin attacks, smash attacks and driving.
