Medellin, Colombia – With a nostalgic nod to simpler times, 1Tucan’s iPhone app will answer your most pressing questions with a flick of your wrist. 1Tucan.com Online Entertainment has introduced Magic Ball: Hocus Pocus 1.2, an app that can provide you with the answers you seek. Users will get to ask the nostalgic image of a Magic 8 Ball, well, any yes-or-no question they want. In true “fortune-telling” style, the Magic 8 Ball will return an answer.
You ask: “Magic 8 Ball, will Johnny ask me to the prom?”
Magic 8 Ball replies: “My sources say no.”
Ouch, Magic 8 Ball! I guess the “truth” hurts sometimes.
Just imagine how much fun could be had with an app such as this. Start asking funny questions about your friends and hilarity is sure to ensue. The concept for the Magic 8 Ball has been around for many years, but it didn’t gain popularity until the 1950s when the 8-ball shape took form. Since its introduction, many people have sought answers from this little black ball.
It even made appearances on many television shows, like the wildly-popular show Friends. In this episode, Ross asks whether he should “Never see Rachel again,” and the eight Ball repeatedly responds “Ask again later.”
Although the Magic 8 Ball doesn’t always give a yes-or-no answer, it works best when you ask a yes-or-no question. There are actually 20 answers you can get from asking a question to this clairvoyant app. Keep a question in mind and just imagine being presented with one of the following responses:
* It is certain
* It is decidedly so
* Without a doubt
* Yes – definitely
* You may rely on it
* As I see it, yes
* Most likely
* Outlook good
* Yes
* Signs point to yes
Those answers represent a positive outlook, or a “yes” response. But, some questions may stump even the dubious eight ball. When that happens, you’ll get one of the following answers:
* Reply hazy, try again
* Ask again later
* Better not tell you now
* Cannot predict now
* Concentrate and ask again
And of course, there are also times when the Magic 8 Ball will deliver a dose of harshness with a blatant “no” response. Here is what you can expect in that case:
* Don’t count on it
* My reply is no
* My sources say no
* Outlook not so good
* Very doubtful
It’s important to note that the Magic 8 Ball cannot actually predict the future (as if you thought it could), and neither can this new app. It just offers a way to have a little fun with questions and answers.
Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
* Requires iOS 3.1 or later
* 2.4 MB
