People may be all hot and bothered over Mega Man 9 right now, but that hasn’t stopped the series’ roots from coming back to the fore. At least not on the Wii, with Nintendo having just uploaded Mega Man 3 to the Wii Virtual Console. Mega Man 3 joins two WiiWare games as the trio of titles uploaded this morning.
Mega Man 3 (500 Wii Points) originally appeared on the original NES, with the notorious-but-reformed Dr. Wily working hand-in-hand with Dr. Light to build a new type of peacekeeping robot. When a new set of eight Robot Masters escapes the lab, only Mega Man (and thus players) can save the day. This time, Mega Man must rely on his new slide move and canine companion Rush to conquer the stages.
As for the WiiWare games uploaded today, one is called Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam (1,000 Wii Points) and has players cooking and serving food to customers as quickly as possible, while the other is a new brain-training game from Gameloft called Brain Challenge. The latter costs 1,000 Wii Points as well.
