Cupertino, California – Nikita Online, one of the leading companies on Russian online games market, is gathering pace on the new fields of its business efforts. The Panic Room: Outrage, a game associated with the company’s first considerable success on social networks, is now available for Apple iPad users throughout the entire world.
By the time The Panic Room: Outrage launch on iOS the game has won 3 million-strong audience on the biggest Russian (Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki, My World), Polish (Nasza Klasa) and Latvian (Draugiem) social networks. More than 10 million users of NIKITA’s GameXP entertainment web-portal (https://www.gamexp.ru/) also enjoy the game.
Working on its first mobile title, Nikita Online was totally focused on making a high quality product – the one to be expected from a company with 22 years of experience in games.
The Panic Room: Outrage is a hidden object game (HOG). It is a popular type of games where a user’s ability to concentrate and maintain his or her attention is put under trial. The user’s goal is to find all the objects well-hidden in virtual backgrounds and stay within strict time limit. Though The Panic Room: Outrage goes a little bit further than ordinary HOG-title would. Users are not just to search but also to analyze their actions and take sometimes painful decisions which will heavily affect the storyline.
The Panic Room: Outrage gives players a thrilling experience of being dragged into the whirlwind of dangerous and mysterious events threatening their lifes and freedom. A player is to find a way out of a mansion which is used by psychotic Puppeteer as a laboratory where he puts his prisoners under various trials with the aim of grasping the essence of such things as freedom and will. Some inhabitants of the luxurious Victorian mansion will help to complete the quest, some will try their best to prevent a player from succeeding. But everyone of those will have a personal story to tell. All the inhabitants stand behind one of the opposite factions: the Followers who proclaimed the Puppeteer as their teacher and the Underground who are trying to break free.
The game’s story with two alternate lines and a plenty of side-quests is divided into seasons. Once in a six-month period a new season comes out. By now a social version of The Panic Room: Outrage has three seasons. iPad users are to start their adventure from the very beginning but soon enough the second season will be available for an iOS-version of the game.
Dramatic atmosphere, stylish and detailed visuals as well as atmospheric sounds give an impression of classic Agatha Christie’s detective stories turned into a game.
“The Panic Room release on iPad allows us to better understand mobile games market. The game’s overall quality recognized by the social networks users makes me feel confident of our tablet endeavor’s success,” says Nikita Online’s CEO Stepan Zotov. “Interesting plot, detailed graphics and fresh ideas are the features equally valued regardless of differences between platforms. The Panic Room has got them all which means we are going to continue developing our game”.
