Now that Xbox Live is back up after a few technical issues, what’s new on Netflix in April 2014 is a hot topic among Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. The Xbox Netflix app, available for free, lets console owners watch new TV shows and new movies on the Netflix app as soon as they become available. So, what’s new on Netflix in April 2014 now that the app has access to a batch of new TV shows and streaming movies?
All told there are 10 TV shows new on Netflix in April 2014. The most notable among them is probably House, although Royal Pains will see plenty of streaming, and The Bible: The Epic Mini Series will surely get some play once it’s available on the Netflix app April 13.
The full list of TV shows new on Netflix in April 2014 looks like this:
- House M.D., The Complete Series (available today)
- Bob’s Burgers, Season 3 (available today)
- Royal Pains, Seasons 1-4 (available today)

The list of new TV shows is OK, but the lineup of movies new on Netflix in April 2014 is surprisingly solid. Netflix gets a lot of grief for having its new movies be stinkers. The service’s new movies for April shouldn’t endure that same bashing.

It’s nice to see Netflix having some fun with its new movies lineup for April. MLB Opening Day was yesterday, which was technically March, but seeing “A League Of Their Own” and “Benchwarmers” on the roster is at least thematic. Heavyweights such as “The English Patient” and “Titanic” will also please millions of ladies, although movies like “Braveheart,” “Rocky” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” are more likely to see play time via the Netflix Xbox One app and Xbox 360 app. Stereotypically, that is.
So, that’s what’s new on Netflix in April 2014. Whether you’re watching the new TV shows and new movies via your computer or console, the selection will be the same. Just remember that you have to be a Netflix member in order to take advantage of the free streaming app.
