Konami is going into its way back machine, digging into its archives to bring a “new” game to the Nintendo DS: New International Track and Field.
New International Track and Field will be released in North America this summer and will be updated with a bright and stylish new look, a wealth of competitive events and online play.
In New International Track and Field for DS, players can choose from more than 15 characters, including some from well-known Konami videogame franchises such as Rumble Roses, Silent Hill, Rocket Knight Adventures and Frogger. The game also includes two secret unlockable characters that can be used in both single play as well as online.
New International Track and Field has more than 20 athletic challenges, including the 100-meter dash, pole vault, high jump, archery and javelin toss. As your athlete progresses in the game, he or she can be customized with new equipment, outfits, animations and other items.
New International Track and Field also incorporates a Voice Boost feature. Using the microphone on the Nintendo DS, players can give their character a performance boost by cheering them on. The louder you are, the bigger the boost.
