Considering Activision made more than $1 million on downloadable content for Call of Duty 2, today’s news that the company will release six new multiplayer maps for the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty 3 is really no surprise.
The maps, five of which will come in a single download costing 800 Microsoft Points, will release after Christmas.
The free Map, called Champs, will take players to Port Royal de Champs, France for classic Call of Duty infantry-based combat designed for small to medium-sized online games.
The paid map pack, called the Valor Map Pack, will contain five new multiplayer maps that span a variety of French locales geared toward close-quarters action. The Valor pack will support multiplayer games online, via split-screen or via System Link.
