If you’re headed to PAX East this weekend hoping to get your hands on pre-release games, Nintendo is going to one-up your loftiest goals by providing hands-on Nintendo 3DS units and games as well. Not as free giveaways, mind you, but for all attendees to get their hands on the 3D handheld system before it goes on sale later this month.
The news came as Nintendo shared its entire booth lineup for PAX East, which is frankly chock full of pre-release software as well. Yes, Nintendo’s PAX East booth (#412) will give fans hands-on time with the company’s two newest first-party games — Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version for the DS and Mario Sports Mix for the Wii — but the pre-release titles are going to garner most folks’ attention.
The Nintendo 3DS first-party games on display will include Mii Maker, AR Games, Steel Diver, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Pilotwings Resort, nintendogs + cats, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
On the third-party front, the 3DS games on display in Nintendo’s PAX East booth will include LucasArts’ LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Tecmo Koei’s Dead or Alive Dimensions, and Capcom’s Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.
If that lineup and/or the handheld’s upcoming launch have you excited, head on over to Amazon.com to see what else is available for pre-order for the Nintendo 3DS.
